A Midlands family-run business, which has grown to employ over 80 people in the local area, is celebrating its 25th anniversary since it was first launched in 1994.
Riggotts & Co Ltd. has celebrated many years of business success and growth since it was launched by brothers Nick Riggott and Darren Riggott with just one truck and plenty of ambition.
The nationwide company has outgrown its headquarters a total of six times, making its first move to Tuxford in 1997 to take advantage of secure premises and land.
Riggotts now lays over ten million metres of lines a year across the UK (almost equivalent to that of the diameter of the earth) across roads, car parks, airfields, warehouses and sports courts.
Part of Riggotts success is thanks to the innovative technologies the company employs such as Ultra Line Marking (an innovative patented lining material which cures instantly under UV light) and Captive Shot Blasting (a damage-free no-mess solution to line marking renewal).
Just a few of the household names listed on Riggotts’ ever-growing client list are Travis Perkins, KFC, BMW, Waitrose, McDonald’s, Tesco, Asda, Local Authorities, Royal Mail and the NHS.
Nick Riggott, Joint Managing Director at Riggotts, commented on the company’s milestone saying: “It’s hard to believe it has been 25 years since we first started Riggotts.

“We’re always welcoming new technology to our daily operations. Just this year we invested over £500,000 in a new fleet of Mercedes-Benz Atego trucks with the latest in fuel saving technologies and larger capacities, reducing our carbon footprint and enabling the trucks to stay out for longer periods of time.
“We also use Drive Cam technology in all of our trucks which enables us to respond instantly to any incident and ultimately improve the safety of our crews.
“Over the course of this year, we will be continuing to look for ways to keep Riggotts up to date and rolling with the times.”
