Nestlé has over 400 factories operating in 194 different countries; in the UK and Ireland alone, they have 21 sites. The Nestlé site in Halifax is currently home to the production of Quality Street, After Eight and Easter eggs, and employs up to 1,000 staff at peak times. In October 2015, Nestlé announced a £5.25m investment in the Halifax location to start making peanut butter cups for American export, which created 45 new jobs. This expansion prompted a visit from Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne, who was “delighted” that the Halifax site won this major new investment.

Riggotts have just completed a significant lining job at the Halifax site’s car park and outdoor areas. To improve safety on a growing site, returning clients John Radcliffe & Sons Ltd subcontracted Riggotts knowing that the team’s attention to detail would produce second to none results. A dream solution for the pipe experts Wavin Group

9th February 2018by galinar84News

The Wavin Group is Europe’s leading supplier of plastic piping systems for drainage and water. Having worked with Riggotts for several years, they asked us to prepare and line walkways and Health & Safety markings across Wavin UK’s Chippenham site.

This site includes a busy industrial manufacturing unit and warehouses, and shutdown was out of the question. Instead, we worked closely with the Wavin team, planning ahead to ensure operations would remain on the move. This meant selecting epoxy linings that wouldn’t disrupt operations yet still meet the demands required of it.

With no time to waste, we used our top-of-the-range, versatile blasting machines to prepare surfaces correctly. This results in better application and more durable markings. By working weekends to complete the process, our team made sure that Wavin operations ran smoothly too. In fact, if it wasn’t for the gleaming new markings to keep Wavin’s employees and visitors safe, they’d hardly have known we were there.

Our experienced team (which never includes sub-contractors) are experts in finding ways to work alongside business operations. Achieving maximum results with the minimum disruption is what sees companies like Wavin return to Riggotts again and again.

A speedy delivery for the B1203

8th April 2019by galinar84News

After reports of speeding on a small country road, Riggotts were subcontracted by returning client Engie Services Ltd to carry out urgent refurbishment works on the B1203.

Using their many years’ of experience, Riggotts had a plan of action in place and quickly made it to the site. The operatives on site laid down a plethora of speed-deterrent markings after removing the faded pre-existing lines.

The new markings comprised 28, 30 mph speed roundels, 80 letters & numbers and 116 metres of red rumble strip.

Red rumble strip causes vibrations in the steering wheel of a vehicle drawing the drivers attention to their speed whilst also ensuring they’re alert.

The thermoplastic materials used in this application contain a reflective material to increase visibility at night – helping to keep vehicles on the correct side of the road and showing the drivers of the path ahead.

Boasting over 25 years’ experience, Riggotts employ a variety of advanced materials and specialist line marking techniques to help maintain the safety of the UK’s roads. Visit our Contact Page to learn more about what Riggotts can do for you.

28th September 2020by galinar84News

Warehouses as a whole are notoriously high-risk workplaces – they’re densely trafficked and filled with often thousands of products, not to mention the heavy machinery which calls these vast warehouses home.

In a fully functioning warehouse, there are several things employees need to be aware of; and in this bustling workplace without the correct warehouse line markings, awareness can be difficult.

Riggotts provides a comprehensive range of warehouse line marking tools in their arsenal to improve health and safety and the efficiency of the warehouse. Using specialist materials unique to Riggotts the quality and durability of there work is second-to-none.

We operate nationally and more recently internationally, all the while delivering outstanding works without compromising on quality.

Award-winning line marking firm introduce Mercedes-Benz eco fleet

18th March 2019by galinar84News

A national line marking firm has turned its focus to the environment and its crew, investing over £500,000 in an effort to reduce its environmental impact and improve comfort and safety.

Riggotts National Line Marking Services, with a centrally located HQ in Nottinghamshire, have welcomed six brand-new Mercedes-Benz Atego to their fleet, all of which boast the latest in fuel economy, safety and comfort technologies.

The company, which employs 48 crews, all of which are trained in the latest of line marking technologies such as Ultra-Line (an innovative UV activated paint), is hoping to offer its clients a greener alternative to help the company maintain its forward-thinking ethos.

Nick Riggott, Joint Managing Director at Riggotts, commented on the new addition to the fleet saying: “We’re always looking for ways in which we can stay on top of the game and move with the times. “Riggotts want to see that number going down.

“We’re committed to making sure that what we do is always as environmentally responsible as possible. That’s why we hold the ISO 14001:2015 award.

“The health and safety of our team has and always will be our top priority. We even hold the OHSAS 8001 accreditation for health and safety – caring for our team whilst on the road is just as important as ensuring they’re safe on site.

“Working on a national scale means our teams can travel hundreds of miles in a single day and we want to make sure they’re as safe and comfortable as possible on the way.

Riggotts provides its clients with a solution to any line marking needs in any part of the UK. Be it for a road, car park, airfield, warehouse or sports court, Riggotts offer the highest quality of service as well as a friendly round-the-clock team to make sure your project is completed on time and to budget.

Award-winning Midlands line marking firm celebrates 25-year milestone

6th June 2019by galinar84News

A Midlands family-run business, which has grown to employ over 80 people in the local area, is celebrating its 25th anniversary since it was first launched in 1994.

Riggotts & Co Ltd. has celebrated many years of business success and growth since it was launched by brothers Nick Riggott and Darren Riggott with just one truck and plenty of ambition.

The nationwide company has outgrown its headquarters a total of six times, making its first move to Tuxford in 1997 to take advantage of secure premises and land.

Riggotts now lays over ten million metres of lines a year across the UK (almost equivalent to that of the diameter of the earth) across roads, car parks, airfields, warehouses and sports courts.

Part of Riggotts success is thanks to the innovative technologies the company employs such as Ultra Line Marking (an innovative patented lining material which cures instantly under UV light) and Captive Shot Blasting (a damage-free no-mess solution to line marking renewal).

Just a few of the household names listed on Riggotts’ ever-growing client list are Travis Perkins, KFC, BMW, Waitrose, McDonald’s, Tesco, Asda, Local Authorities, Royal Mail and the NHS.

Nick Riggott, Joint Managing Director at Riggotts, commented on the company’s milestone saying: “It’s hard to believe it has been 25 years since we first started Riggotts.

“Our philosophy has always been to keep on growing and learning. While the 25th anniversary at Riggotts has given us all a chance to look back fondly on times gone by, we’re treating it as an opportunity to refresh the business.

“We’re always welcoming new technology to our daily operations. Just this year we invested over £500,000 in a new fleet of Mercedes-Benz Atego trucks with the latest in fuel-saving technologies and larger capacities, reducing our carbon footprint and enabling the trucks to stay out for longer periods of time.

“We also use Drive Cam technology in all of our trucks which enables us to respond instantly to any incident and ultimately improve the safety of our crews.

“Over the course of this year, we will be continuing to look for ways to keep Riggotts up to date and rolling with the times.”

Riggotts provides its clients with a solution to any line marking needs in any part of the UK. “Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten”

25th June 2019by galinar84News

When first time Richard Roller, Chairman and Founder of Powervamp Ltd, asked Riggotts to carry out work at a Methodist Church car park in Sandford at short notice, we sprung into action and planned the most effective route to get the job done on time and within budget.

We were lucky enough to have a Riggotts crew already on standby in the area, reducing the clients wait time for the urgent works.

The job consisted of seven numbers, 45 metres of white lining and 15 metres of yellow hatching – more clearly marking out where the parking bays are and outlining where vehicles should not be parked.

At Riggotts we strive toward the best possible customer service and quality of work. That’s why when a client takes the time to let us know how pleased they are we take note – here’s what Roller had to say about the work:

“I write to say how pleased I am with the excellent work carried out by the Riggotts team today.

“The guys arrived at the chapel car park when we were told they would, understood the brief exactly and carried out the marking work in an amazing way with skill and precision.

As the saying goes, quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.”

Our 42 crews work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No matter what your business, we’ll work with you to determine the most convenient time for works so that you’re back up and running in no time. For more information on what we can do for you call us today on 0800 848841.

Back and better than ever

2nd August 2017by galinar84News

We’re proud to be part of the team that got the Asda Luton store back into action following a major fire in March.

The 44,000 sq ft store on Wigmore Lane had a £7.6m revamp, with new facilities added. Riggotts ensured all the new line markings are up to scratch too. So that customers and staff can enjoy their store easily and safely.

It’s been a real team effort to get things back on track so quickly. But the store was officially reopened after just four months by the Mayor of Luton and Luton Foodbank (who Asda donated rescued stock too).

Amanda Burnham, Asda Luton’s community champion, said: “The colleagues have really missed everything about the store – seeing each other and all the regular customers. It’s an emotional day. I’ve worked at the store for 20 years so it’s fantastic to be back.”

We’d like to wish manager David White and his wonderful colleagues at Asda Luton all the best now they’re back in a store that’s better than ever.

12th May 2021by galinar84News

With the UK looking towards the hopeful end of this arduous pandemic, and the further lifting of lockdown rules, people are finally able to leave the house and venture out towards the long-awaited return of non-essential shops – which includes car dealerships/forecourts.

One thing we’ve learnt about this pandemic is that appearances when looking online are essential. However, when things finally return to normal, the appearance of a physical shop will be just as necessary to bring clients through the door.

Recently, Riggotts National Line Marking carried out forecourt line markings for international car manufacturer Ford in Barnsley, South Yorkshire – refreshing their forecourt ready for new customer visits.

In total, the forecourt renovations included 6m2 of removal by thermic lance, two disabled logos, eleven 600×100 Pads, 65no 600×200 Pads, fifteen 1200mm letters, eight 700mm letters, 5m2 of solid areas, 4m2 sealing with tack coat, 369m of forecourt line marking. Battling the elements in Lincoln

30th November 2017by galinar84News

Lincoln is undergoing an ambitious regeneration, including a £30m transport hub for the city centre developed by Wilmott Dixon. This includes a large multi-storey car park, which has been completed ahead of schedule. These new timings meant that the car park opening could coincide with the Christmas light switch on.

The weather was not on our side. Bad fog throughout the week resulted in dew on the surface. This made progress painfully slow, as we always complete any job to the highest standards. Our determined team adapted to the challenges and the car park opened on time. The client was over the moon to hand over on schedule, and hundreds of happy people were able to leave their vehicles in the clearly marked car park spaces as they went off to enjoy Lincoln’s festive lights.

Booths taking charge with brand new bays for electric vehicles

29th July 2019by galinar84News

With electric vehicles marking the beginning of a new automotive era, and the acknowledgement that climate change is posing a real threat to our future, businesses around the country are upgrading their car parking spaces.

Prioritising a select few for Electric Vehicles, these spaces have state of the art chargers which will top up your vehicle whilst you visit the stores.

Founded in 1847 and based in Preston with 28 stores located throughout the North of England, Booths is a chain of high-end supermarkets.

Keeping climate change in mind, the Dunamis Group tasked Riggotts to carry out works for the northern operating supermarket chain at several stores.

To achieve the best adhesion and improve the longevity of the paint, Riggotts jetwashed the surface, cleaning it of any dirt or other grit which would have impeded the durability of the paint. The products used on-site were red and white single pack epoxy paint. The perfect solution for vibrant colours and improved longevity.

In total, the Riggotts operatives carried out over 300m of white lining and four Instavolt logos, making the bays eye-catching and easily recognisable for the customers with Electric Vehicles, advertising the fact they can charge their electric vehicles at the store.

Adapting to newer technology and giving the public a place to recharge their electric vehicles not only entices new customers to your store but give the impression that the store is environmentally aware and is actively going out its way to prevent climate change.

In an effort to reduce their impact on the environment Riggotts have invested over £250,000 in new vehicles packed with the latest technology in fuel efficiency lowering the carbon footprint the nationally operating company emits.

Bringing Bus station Line Markings to Belper

15th August 2020by galinar84News

During 2019, almost 4.8 billion local bus passenger journeys were made in Great Britain, making up a whopping 58 per cent of all public transport journeys which is, in fact, a 0.05 per cent decrease compared to the year before (2018).

That year, the number of buses totalled 34.5 thousand in England, while it amounted to 4.2 thousand in Scotland. In London, the average of journeys taken by the general public is 23.5% higher than the rest of the country.

With this in mind, you can imagine bus station line markings in the UK tend to wear at a faster rate than other places. To tackle this, the Riggotts crews use their trusted high-grade thermoplastic material.

Having carried out a great many bus station line markings over Riggotts’ twenty-six years in the industry, they have perfected the art of delivering the highest quality line markings quickly and effectively.

The latest of which was carried out in Belper, Derbyshire – a town known for its rich industrial history. In total, one of the Riggotts team carried out 54 numbers/letters, 11 meters squared of solid area, three pedestrian logos, 112 meters of 100mm yellow Bus Station Line Markings, various surface preparations (shot blasting) and 19 meters squared of sealer to improve longevity.

All the above works laid were carried out using a mix of yellow thermoplastic and MMA paint – known for its durability.

If you like what you hear and require any of our bus station line marking services, please get in touch. We operate nationally and more recently internationally, all the while delivering the same outstanding line markings without compromising on quality.
