Sainsbury’s, one of the UK’s most recognisable supermarket chains, is a recent recipient of a Riggotts Refresh! John James Sainsbury founded the first Sainsbury’s in 1869 on Drury Lane in Holborn, London. What began as a small company selling fresh foods has evolved into one of the largest chain supermarkets, selling everything from groceries, to fresh food, electronics and clothing. To date, Sainsbury’s has over 1300 supermarket and convenience stores across the UK.
Returning clients the RG Group subcontracted Riggotts to complete a full reline to the site. The Riggotts team first prepared the car park by burning off the existing lines. Next, the team used Kestrel thermoplastic to add over 3000m of lining including four speed roundels, 27 arrows, seven disabled logos, give way markings, lettering, and zebra crossings. The newly relined site is now safer for customers traveling to the store by car or on foot.
